If Trump's meeting with Putin goes "well," he will give Zelensky a call.

According to US President Donald Trump, if his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin tomorrow goes "well," he will phone Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to set up a follow-up meeting.

He said the conference might be held in a number of places, including Alaska, in an interview with Fox News Radio on Thursday.

When asked if Zelensky would be amenable to more discussions if things were going well, Trump responded that he was not assuming that a second meeting would take place. Following his meeting with Putin, he stated that it would be "wonderful" to address reporters at a joint press conference.

He will, however, address to reporters alone before leaving for the United States if the joint press conference does not work out.

The US president has emphasized that his meeting with Vladimir Putin may lead to another one, in which he has alluded to the possibility of meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. There is a "25 percent probability that the meeting will not be successful," he is now acknowledging.

Trump stated that there would be "give and take" on the border between Kiev and Moscow while discussing Ukrainian and Russian land.

Dmitry Peskov, a spokesman for the Kremlin, informed reporters that following tomorrow's Putin-Trump summit in Alaska, no "papers" involving Russia and the US would be made public. However, he stated, "The president will undoubtedly highlight any agreements and concessions that he will be able to make since there will be a joint press conference."

Conversely, Zelensky will not be in Alaska tomorrow for the Trump-Putin meeting. A meeting between the two opposing leaders, however, would be "more constructive," according to the US president, than his own meeting with the Russian leader.

According to him, he wants to set up a meeting between Zelensky and Putin "very shortly," and if the chance presents itself, he would want to attend in person.

Zelensky has not addressed Trump's remarks regarding the meeting with Putin explicitly yet, though.
