Distinguished magistrate Sylhet's DC is Sarwar Alam.
Md. Sarwar Alam, a renowned government officer, has been named the new Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet and the new Deputy Commissioner of the administration.
On Monday, August 18, the Ministry of Public Administration's Field Administration-2 branch released a notification in this respect.
Sarwar Alam, a BCS (Administration) cadre officer, was transferred and assigned to the Sylhet district as the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, according to the notice.

Sarwar Alam has previously been discussed because of his involvement in the mobile court's responsible operations, anti-adulteration campaign, and corruption.
The notice further said that this order, which was issued for the public's benefit, would take effect right now.
Sarwar Alam is currently employed in the Ministry of Overseas Employment and Expatriates' Welfare as a Senior Assistant Secretary.
He began attending Ismail Memorial Government Primary School, which was close to his home, in 1983. He was accepted to Kishoreganj Gurudayal Government College in 1993 after receiving first division in the SSC exam from Pakundia Pilot High School (now Pakundia Government High School).

He was accepted to Dhaka University's Department of Zoology in 1995 after receiving a first division in the HSC exam from Kishoreganj Gurudayal Government College. In 2005, he received a first-class postgraduate degree from Dhaka University's Department of Zoology. In 2008, Sarwar Alam joined the government after passing the 27th BCS.
In 2009, Md. Sarwar Alam married Sanjida Sharmin Linda, a Chittagong girl.
They have four daughters. They are Manha, Tanha, Nazifa Safrin, and Mahrin Samara.
