Schedule of national elections for the first part of December
According to Election Commissioner (EC) Brigadier General (retired) Abul Fazal Mohammad Sanaullah, the 13th national election schedule will be revealed in the first part of December this year.
"The Election Commission will announce two months, or sixty days, prior to the election," he stated. The announcement will most likely be made in the first half of December under that scenario. The new government will need two to four days to assume control before Ramadan, which falls on February 18.

He said these things on Thursday, August 7, during a press conference held at the Election Commission in Agargaon, Dhaka.
"The code of conduct for political parties and candidates has been finalized," he added, adding that the Election Commission will begin working on voter education for foreigners the next month.

A committee has been established, he added, to stop the use of AI and the dissemination of misleading material during political campaigns. The main goal is to hold the election without using less bandwidth.
He added that on election day, drone use will be prohibited for everyone, including the media.
"Because it is really hard to tell which ones are in the media and which are not," he remarked.
