Dr. Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Naib-e-Ameer has voiced his dissatisfaction with the July Declaration.

This was his first response when he read the July Declaration on Tuesday in the evening.

The Jamaat leader claimed that the declaration should have been part of the constitution and that it did not represent the hopes and objectives of the July Revolution. We requested that it be included in the Constitution's preamble, but it was not. Additionally, we have been informed that this announcement will take effect on August 5; however, no specific date has been provided.

He added that there is no explicit direction in the proclamation about the families of martyrs or those hurt during the movement. The statement contains no explicit instructions on these issues, despite the fact that those who were martyred or injured were intended to receive governmental recognition and benefits. The July Uprising was previously proclaimed to be both constitutionally and nationally acknowledged.
