A technical issue causes the Biman flight from Myanmar to Bangkok to return to Dhaka.
A mechanical issue caused a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight headed for Bangkok to return to Dhaka almost one hour after departure. Biman Bangladesh sources said that at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, the 146-passenger BG-388 plane took off for Bangkok from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
A technical issue caused the flight to return to Dhaka from Myanmar airspace, according to a senior Biman captain.
The Boeing 737-800 can accommodate up to 170 passengers. It is reported that the pilot observed strange engine vibrations after takeoff.

At the time, the plane was in Myanmar airspace. The pilot chose to return for safety, and at 1:21 pm the plane touched down in Dhaka.
After almost six hours, the passengers were flown to Bangkok on a Boeing 777, according to Biman sources.
According to a number of Biman authorities, the aircraft's engine was already having issues.
They stated that the aircraft was subjected to substantial repair (C-check) at the Shahjalal hangar a few days ago.

Then, last Monday, its test flight was carried out on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Dhaka route. The aircraft's engine was then seen to be vibrating excessively.
According to a Biman official, Biman's technical department investigated and fixed the vibration after the pilot notified the relevant authorities.
By the way, on July 28, around 3:30 pm, flight BG-349 left Dhaka for Dammam, Saudi Arabia, and experienced a similar situation.
