Simple translation

(9) If We had sent him as an angel, We would have sent him in the form of a man. And We would have thrown them into delusion as they are in delusion.

(10) And many a messenger was mocked before you, so the mockers were surrounded by that which they used to mock.

A Synopsis

According to Surah An'am verse 8, the unbelievers would ask why an angel rather than a person was used as a messenger. Or why was not the messenger constantly accompanied by another angel acting as a warner? We would have believed if that were true. Since their claim has already been disproved, verse 9 reiterates that if We had chosen to send an angel with the message, it is obvious that he could not have appeared in that form because, in that case, people would have been afraid of him and would have attempted to avoid him rather than approach him. Therefore, sending him in the guise of a person would have been required.

However, even at that time, your leaders expressed disapproval and questioned whether this person was also human. such to the current arguments regarding the Prophet's humanity. What use does dispatching an angel then serve?

To console the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), it is stated in Surah verse 10 that the suffering, mockery, and derision you are facing from your own people are not exclusive to you; all prophets before you had to deal with similar tragic and potentially fatal situations. They remained brave, nevertheless.

The identical punishment they used to ridicule eventually overtook the ridiculing nation. Therefore, it is your responsibility to preach Allah's rules. You are released from accountability by carrying out this obligation.

It is not your responsibility to determine if it is accepted or not. Therefore, do not let it consume you and cause you to feel sad.

Before you, prophets have been ridiculed. "You have become a spinner after becoming a prophet," they told Noah. "We say, one of our gods has punished you with harm," Hud told him. (Verse 54 of Surah Hud) "O Salih!" said Salih to him. If you are one of the messengers, bring us what you are afraid of." (Verse 77 of Surah Al-A'raf)

"Drive Lot's family out of the city," they told Lot. They are a group of people who strive for purity. (Verses 56 of Surah An-Naml.) Likewise, they addressed Shu'ayb, saying, "O Shu'ayb! We consider you to be weak among us, and we do not understand much of what you say." You have no control over us, and we would have stoned you if it were not for your family. (Verse 91 of Surah Hud) Additionally, they would make fun of the Prophet's supplication by stating, "O Shu'aib! Is your prayer asking you to give up the things our fathers worshipped or the things we do with our money? Yes, you are understanding and forgiving. (Verse 87 of Surah Hud) [Bayan Adwaul]
